Google’s new Pixel Buds translate your conversation in real time in 40 languages!

There isn’t a single person in the world who doesn’t want to enjoy traveling the world without needing to worry about translation issues. Visiting a foreign country where you don’t speak the native language may sometimes inhibit your overall enjoyment during the visit. I’m sure that many of you are imagining a world where you could speak or understand any language without needing to learn it.

Now that’s a future the search engine giant Google has promised to all users with its new Pixel Buds. Google released the Pixel Buds, which can translate from one language to another in real time. Sometimes they are compared to the character of the ageless bestseller "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" - the Babylonian fish.

These earphones translate and give you the opportunity to speak in foreign languages, which was clearly demonstrated at the Google's Pixel 2 event in San Francisco on October 4. During the demonstration, the native English speaker was able to easily maintain a dialogue in Swedish.

In addition to the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XLsmartphones, released after the example of the Apple iPhone traditional audio port, Google introduced the wireless Bluetooth-headset Pixel Buds, tightly integrated with Google Assistant. Compact and lightweight, these earbuds are connected with a strap for more reliable wearing. Google Assistant is integrated into the new wireless headphones, which will allow you to control some functions of your smartphone interfaced with the Pixel Buds without having to turn on its screen, for example, to check notifications or switch the music track.

According to the developers, Pixel Buds is a personal translator who is always there. So, for example, if you want to order a pasta in Italy, as an indigenous Italian - you just need to touch the right earpiece and say: "Help me speak Italian." Now the speaker of your smartphone will loudly pronounce in Italian any phrases that you will speak in your native language. When the waiter will answer you, you will hear a translated phrase in the earphones.

All controls are located in the right earpiece and allow the use of gestures to access the functions of his smartphone. It is enough to touch the sensor on the right earpiece to summon the voice assistant and, for example, turn on some music for your training, send a message or find out the distance to a certain destination. You can stop or start playback by an easy touch, and adjust the volume by swiping forward and backward.

In addition to high-quality playback, the Pixel Buds are ready to offer you such functionality as a simultaneous translation for communicating with foreigners. Pixel Buds are real polyglots, their "arsenal" already contains 40 languages. This feature for real translation, however, is only available for Pixel and Pixel 2 smartphones. The earphones are compatible with any smartphone based on Pixel, iOS 10.0., Android 7.0 Nougat or newer.

On a single charge, the Pixel Buds will work up to 5 hours, and with the help of the battery in the case, their active autonomy increases to 24 hours. The charging capacity of the earbuds is 120 mAh, and the one of the charging case is 620 mAh.

Google equipped the Pixel Buds with an accelerometer. The earphones received a minimalistic design without additional buttons. Regarding the color options, the Pixel Buds match the Pixel 2 smartphones and are available in white, black and blue shades.

Google Pixel Buds is already on sale in six countries: the US, Canada, Australia, Britain, India, and Germany at a price of $160.
